- 1113 PRINCIPLES OF SOCIOLOGY
- A survey course to introduce students to the science of human behavior. (A prerequisite for all other sociology courses)

- A study of the theories and methods of anthropology with emphasis on man's biological development. (Prerequisite: SOC 1113)

- A study of the differences, similarities, and effects of material and nonmaterial culture on social organization. (Prerequisite: SOC 1113)

- An introduction to the empirical approaches and techniques in Sociology, including the study of both descriptive and inferential statistics.
