Major 40 Semester Hours

(Must include 20 semester hours of upper–division courses; BIOL 1404 Principles of Biology I and CHEM 1315 General Chemistry I must be taken as part of General Education.)

Core Curriculum (13 semester hours):

One of the following options may be chosen:

Biological Health Sciences Option

Core curriculum(13 semester hours)

Additional required courses (16 semester hours)

Electives in the Biological Sciences (BIOL, BOT, CONS, and/or ZOOL) to complete the 40 semester hours.

Botany Option

Core curriculum(13 semester hours)

Additional required courses(19 semester hours)

Electives in the Biological Sciences (BIOL, BOT, CONS, and/or ZOOL) to complete the 40 semester hours.

Zoology Option

Core curriculum(13 semester hours)

Additional required courses(15 semester hours)

Two of the following:

Electives in the Biological Sciences (BIOL, BOT, CONS, and/or ZOOL) to complete the 40 semester hours.

Required Program Support Courses:

Three to five hours of mathematics above MATH 1543 with approval of advisor.
