Degree Program Objectives
The overall goal of the degree program, as reflected by the proposed changes, is to keep up with the demands of the fish and wildlife profession. Specific objectives of the degree program are to provide coursework that will: (1) prepare students for a variety of jobs in fish and wildlife conservation, (2) count towards requirements for certification within The Wildlife Society and The American Fisheries Society (the two foremost professional societies in the field of fish and wildlife conservation), and (3) expose students to a wide variety of topics within fish and wildlife conservation so that they can make informed decisions on career paths and options for specialization.
