Southeastern Alumni Association

2018 Tailgate Alley Guidelines

Students must follow the University’s alcohol policy.  The University has a “no alcohol on campus” policy for students.  See the Student Code of Conduct for the complete policy.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University invites fans and alumni to enjoy tailgating and college football in the friendly confines of the SE campus. The tailgating guidelines below are designed to ensure your safety and comfort and refer specifically to Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s home football games.

Tailgating is defined as the participation in a social event in a designated area, including consumption of food and beverages.

Tailgate Locations/Times

  • Tailgating is permitted anywhere in the Tailgating Alley (located on University Boulevard between 2nd and 3rd Street). Tailgating will also be permitted in the grassy area at the southwest corner of Second Ave. and University, as well as, in the parking lot on the southeast corner of University and 2nd
  • Tailgating is permitted from 3 hours prior to game time until kickoff. Exceptions will be granted based on special events.
  • The entrance and traffic lanes must remain clear at all times. You may have up to 3 spaces for your tailgating activities, but you must stay within the designated spaces.
  • Charcoal grills and the use of charcoal are permitted. Charcoal cannot be dumped in the tailgate area or parking lot. Grills that are in use shall not be left unattended at any time.
  • Participants in tailgate activities are expected to clean up and dispose of trash.
  • ATV’s, dirt bikes and firearms are prohibited.
  • Tailgate Alley should be cleared two hours after the game.

  • Individuals attending events at Southeastern Oklahoma State University are expected to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of the nature and character of the University. Persons acting in a disruptive, disrespectful or disorderly manner may be asked to leave the premises or be subject to arrest.

The purpose of the tailgating area is to provide a friendly, safe environment for alumni, students and friends to socialize and enjoy the event. Southeastern Oklahoma State University reserves the right to revoke tailgating privileges of any person for violation of University guidelines, the Student Code of Conduct and/or violation of local or state laws.  We also discourage any type of tailgating for retail purposes.  We encourage fans to attend the SE football game so we respectfully request that all tailgating end at kickoff.  You may reconvene for two hours after the game ends.
