CampusConnect Error Messages

While using CampusConnect, you may occasionally encounter different error messages. They can appear on the page or as pop–up windows. This page will help you understand what the system is trying to tell you.

When you log in, the system will alert you to any holds you have that may prevent you from accessing many of CampusConnect’s features. You need to contact the Registrar’s Office, Office of Student Financial Aid, or the Business Office to resolve any issues.

PIN Maintenance

Your PIN must be numeric.
A numeric PIN has any numbers 0–9. No letters (A–Z, a–z) or special characters (! @, #, $, etc…) are allowed.
The PIN values you entered do not match. Please re–enter your new PIN.
If you type 654321 as your PIN in the first text box, you must also type 654321 exactly in the second box. Re–enter your PIN in both boxes.

Please see the Registrar’s Office for permission to add/drop.
For some reason you do not have permission to enroll using CampusConnect. Contact the Registrar’s Office to find out what you need to get permission.
There was an error in DROPPING the specified course. You may not drop your only remaining course.
When you drop your last remaining class, this is called a complete withdrawal. Complete withdrawals can only be processed by the Registrar’s Office, so get in touch with them to drop your last class. Save your GPA! You will not be automatically dropped from classes just because you do not attend. Don’t end up with an ‘F’ and an overdue bill, because you didn’t drop a class in time.
There was an error in ADDING the specified course. The course you tried to add has been cancelled.
This means that the course is no longer being offered for that semester. No one can enroll in a cancelled course.
The course you tried to add is closed.
This means that the course is full and has no more open seats. Under special circumstances, students can enroll in closed courses with the approval of the instructor or department chair. Contact the academic department to see about enrolling in one of their closed courses.
Your schedule is full.
This means that enrolling in the course your want would put you over the maximum number of credit hours you are allowed to take in one semester. Under special circumstances and with approval, students may exceed their maximum number of hours per semester. Contact the Registrar’s Office or see the University’s academic load policy to find out how.
You do not have the necessary co–requisite to take this course.
This means you are enrolling in a class that requires you take another class during the same semester. This is usually referring to science classes that also have a lab class. You may override the message and enroll in the class by clicking the Override button. Clicking the Do Not Override button will cancel the enrollment. It is your responsibility to add the required co–requisite class. If you don’t, your enrollment in the other class will be cancelled without notice. If you have questions about co–requisites, consult the Registrar’s Office, academic department, or your advisor.
You have not completed the pre–requisite to take this course.
Many academic departments require that you take certain courses in order. This error means you have to complete the preceding course(s) to take the one you want. This is to make sure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the course you want. Under special circumstances, students can enroll in courses without taking the necessary pre–requisite(s) with approval of the instructor or department chair. Contact the academic department to see about enrolling in one of these courses.
The course you are attempting to add meets at the same time as one or more courses in which you are already enrolled.
This means there is a time conflict between the class you want and one that is already on your schedule. Pick another time or another course. You can not take two classes with conflicting times.
