Child Care Resource & Referral — Policy of Exclusion of Providers from the Database

Southeastern Child Care Resource & Referral Agency maintains a database of child care providers which includes, at a minimum, all providers licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS). Programs may be excluded from the database when Agency staff is unable to contact providers to verify their information.

PROCEDURE

Upon receiving notification through DHS that a child care provider has been licensed, Agency staff will enter a provider's information into the database and attempt to contact the provider by phone. Licensed providers are never deleted from the database. If Agency staff are unable to contact a provider (new or currently listed), an action log of ATTEMPTED UPDATE will be recorded. After there have been three phone attempts to contact the provider, the provider will be marked as ACTIVE, NO REFERRALS on the database. A provider information form and business reply envelope are included in the mailing should a provider wish to complete their information.
