Bio:

Dr. Stanley Rice was born in Oklahoma, grew up and attended college in California, and got a Ph.D. in plant biology from the University of Illinois. After faculty positions in New York, Indiana, and Minnesota, he joined the faculty of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1998 where he is now a full professor in the Biological Sciences department. He is the past president of both the Oklahoma Academy of Sciences and Oklahomans for Excellence in Science Education He teaches general biology, general botany, systematic botany, evolution, and graduate research methods at Southeastern. He is the author of four books (Encyclopedia of Evolution; Green Planet; Life of Earth; and Encyclopedia of Biodiversity), has an evolution blog (www.honest-ab.blogspot.com), and has portrayed Charles Darwin in person around Oklahoma and on a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/StanEvolve).
