Biological Sciences

Many of the graduates from the Department of Biological Sciences continue on in professional programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and physical therapy.  Several of the graduates also continue their education in graduate school.  Here is a sample of some of the students from the department.

fritts“My name is Allen Fritts.  I was homeschooled from kindergarten through  high-school, and am now a Southeastern Graduate!  I have had the  privilege of working with both the biology and chemistry departments,  and have loved every minute of working with both!  I loved my time at  Southeastern, and that time will be a part of me wherever I go and  whatever I do.  I am currently in the process of moving to Ft. Worth to attend the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine as a part of the Rural Scholars program, which provides special training to prepare students  for jobs in Rural Medicine.  I am super excited to see what happens in  the future!  God bless you all!”

“Choosing Southeastern for my undergraduate has been one e of the best decisions of my college career, and choosing Biology as my degree was an even better one.  All of the classes I took in the Biology department were phenomenal! My classes were always small and the professor always knew my name and what my career goal was. morgan (2) Having such a small class size allowed the opportunity for many questions to be asked if a concept wasn’t completely understood.  One of the best aspects of it all was having professors who truly care about you and your success. I feel confident that I am well prepared for my next scholastic journey in the Physician Associate Program due to the knowledge I acquired while obtaining my degree at Southeastern.”
