Dr. Garry Landreth is an internationally recognized counselor, author and founder of the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas, in Denton, TX. Dr. Landreth, LPC, RPT-S, is a Regents Professor in the Department of Counseling at the University of North Texas. Landreth attended Grant High School in Grant, OK and is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Landreth is a frequent speaker of Play Therapy at conferences around the world and has published more than 150 journal articles, books and videos, including Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship and Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT): A 10-Session Filial Therapy Model (Bratton, Landreth, Kellam, & Blackard). The CPRT Model received the Parent Education Best Practices Award.
It is an honor to have Dr. Landreth back on the SE campus, both as a speaker and SE alum.
