Dr. Ed Mauzey serves as professor and chair of the Department of Behavioral Sciences.  He joined the department in the summer of 2000.  He received his master of arts degree in counseling/emphasis marriage, family and child counseling from the University of San Francisco and his doctorate in counselor education from Texas A&M University- Commerce.  He holds certification as a school counselor and National Certified Counselor (NCC) and licensure as a LPC (Texas and Oklahoma) and LMFT (Texas).  His professional interests include counselor supervision and training, marriage and family therapy, assessment, and school counseling.

Ed lives in Anna, Texas with his wife Suzanne.  They have three wonderful children and 4 grandchildren.
