9/11 Ten Years Later: A Tribute…

The  Graduate Counseling Students, in conjunction with the SE Student Government Association, hosted a tribute regarding the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Events were held in the Student Union September 6-9, 2011, for this memorial event. Opportunities were provided for attendees to reflect on the events of 9/11 and to share what steps they have taken to help the nation heal since this tragic event unfolded. In addition, a special musical tribute was held Friday, September 9, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in the GDJ Student Union.


Update: The 9/11 Tribute event co-sponsored by the Counseling Graduate Students was a great success. Durant firefighters were honored with a plaque and the 9/11 tribute banner in appreciation for their ongoing services to our community.  Counselor Education Faculty Member, and Mr. Clifford Cox, Graduate Assistant and student in the CMHC Master’s Degree Program, for coordinating this entire event.
