Dr. Kathy (Hogan) Boothe has a B.S in Rehabilitation Studies, a M.Ed. in Special Education and PhD. in Special Education, all from the University of North Texas.  She is alternatively certified through Region 11 Education Service Center’s alternative certification program.  Dr. Hogan is certified K-12 Special Education, 1-8 General Education, and has her Principal Certification.  She has taught special education at both the elementary and middle school levels in North Texas.  Before coming to Southeastern, she was a Behavior Specialist in Texas and an Assistant Professor of Special Education in Augusta, GA.

Her research interests include Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, specifically Tier 1 and classroom management.  She has presented nationally and internationally on these topics and on co-teaching and collaboration.

She is currently living near McKinney, TX and is excited to be a member of the Southeastern Family!
