Student Email Upgrade

In order to provide the latest technology, Southeastern’s IT Department is pleased to announce the upgrade of our student email system. Starting December 20th, we will begin the upgrade of our email system from Convergence to Office 365.

For currently enrolled students at Southeastern, the transition to Microsoft Office 365 email will be automatic. All existing messages will be moved to Office 365 and your email address will stay the same.

This is the timeline for the transition from Convergence to Office 365 email.

  • Dec 20, 2017 -Information Technology will begin routing email to Office 365 and start migrating current student email data from convergence to Office 365. Students will no longer receive emails to their Southeastern Convergence accounts.
  • January 4th, 2018 – Information Technology will complete the current student data migration and begin correcting any errors found in the data transfer to Office 365.
  • Jan 1- July 31st, 2018 – After the upgrade, former student’s email data will not transfer to Office 365. Former students will have access to their Convergence accounts to save or forward all email to other email providers. Guides (Outlook/Hotmail and Gmail) are available to show students how to forward emails to these services. After July 31st, former students will no longer have access to their old Convergence email account to retrieve emails.
