Friendship Family Program

The Southeastern Friendship Family Program (FFP) matches SE international students with SE faculty, administration and staff for occasional get-togethers. Friendship families may be individuals, couples, partners, or families with children.

The purpose of the FFP is to serve as a bridge for cultural exchange, respect, and friendship that enriches the lives of SE students and employees. For students, the FFP is an opportunity to better understand American society and develop a stronger connection to SE and the region through community relationships. For employees, the FFP is an opportunity to learn from and share with individuals representing the 95% of the world outside the U.S.

To express your interest in participating, please contact International Student Office at iss@se.edu or by stopping by the Welcome Center.

Global Herd Leaders

To begin in fall 2017, Southeastern Global Herd Leaders matches new international students with students who have been at Southeastern for at least one year (leaders).

The purpose of Global Herd Leaders is to assist in the adjustment of new international students to Southeastern throughout their first semester here. Leaders may be domestic or international student volunteers. There are numerous incentives for leaders.

Interested students are also encouraged to contact International Student Office at iss@se.edu or by stopping by the Welcome Center.
