About Dr. Michael Scheuerman
Dr. Michael Scheuerman is the Interim Associate Director of Bands and Instructor of Clarinet at Southeastern Oklahoma State University At Southeastern, Michael teaches conducting, undergraduate clarinet lessons, woodwind literature, woodwind pedagogy, works with the bands, and coordinates the recruiting efforts for the Department of Music. Prior to this position, he taught approximately 50 middle school and high school clarinetists from two of the top music programs in the Dallas area. Before moving to Dallas, Michael received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Texas Tech University where he taught undergraduate clarinet lessons and performed in the Texas Tech Graduate Wind Quintet. While in Lubbock, he performed regularly with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and gave educational concerts and recitals with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet. Currently, he is a member of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra and regularly performs solo and chamber recitals across the region. Michael also holds degrees in performance and music education from Eastern Michigan University (M.A.) and Oklahoma State University (B.M.).
