The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Aviation Sciences Institute invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in aviation management, to begin on August 1, 2010 at the SOSU facility on the Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) South campus.

Classes are held on the OCCC South campus as well as on Tinker AFB in Midwest City, Oklahoma. All classes are taught Monday through Thursday evenings between 4:30 and 10:00 PM during five eight week semesters throughout the year.

We seek candidates with an earned doctorate (or ABD) with a strong background in aviation management; candidates with a masters degree and ten years of aviation management industry experience will be considered. Candidates with significant commercial airline experience are highly desired. Graduate-level teaching is also desired.

Primary teaching duties include both undergraduate and graduate level aviation management, aviation administration and aviation safety courses.

The salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with credentials. Employment is contingent upon the results of a national criminal and sex offender background checks.
