Assistant/Associate Professor in Educational Instruction and Leadership
Southeastern Oklahoma State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Professional Education that develops educators who are proficient in, and dedicated to the teaching of content and pedagogy in an increasingly diverse technological and global society. Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: educational administration and/or curriculum and instruction from an accredited university. This position also requires the successful candidate to serve on Resident Year Committees for first year teachers. Tenure track faculty members are expected to provide evidence of effective classroom teaching, research/scholarship, and contributions to the institution and profession commensurate with rank. This position also requires undergraduate advising requirements.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University, founded in 1909, presently enrolls students in 44 undergraduate programs and 6 graduate degree programs. The position may require multiple campus assignments as well as varied time and delivery methods. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of Academic Affairs and successful passing of a Criminal Background Check. Applicants for this position will include a letter of application and statement of qualifications, a current vita, unofficial copies of transcripts, and names, addresses, and contact information of three references. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position begins in August 2010.
