Instructor of Health, Physical Education and Recreation/Head Volleyball Coach

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University, the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and the Department of Athletics invites applications for a non tenure-track instructor of health, physical education and recreation/head volleyball coach position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruiting, scheduling, coaching and management of an NCAA Division II volleyball program. This position will require approximately six hours of instruction in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department as assigned by the department chair. Qualifications include: bachelor’s degree with adequate professional preparation to teach classes in HPER Department, and knowledge and experience required for successful coaching and teach management required, master’s preferred and experience as a head volleyball coach/assistant coach and instructor at collegiate level.

Founded in 1909, Southeastern Oklahoma State University enrolls approximately 4,500 students in 44 undergraduate and 7 graduate degree programs. The central campus is located in Durant, Oklahoma, 80 miles north of Dallas, Texas, and 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts from each degree granting institution must be received by the Office of Academic Affairs and a satisfactory criminal background check must be processed. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will begin January 1, 2010. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
