Thank you letters from Hillcrest Middle School, Coquitlam Grade 6 and 7, 2007
Dear Sgt. Hinton and Cst. Steinkampf,
I thought the presentation was good but it was really gross and disturbing. Those pictures and slides were really descriptive. I never wanted to take drugs but now that I saw the presentation I reel sorry for the people who take drugs. Thank you for the presentation.
Dear Cst. Steinkampf,
I enjoyed your talk to Red Team. I liked how you showed us videos because it gave me a clearer view. The things they talked about were pretty scary. When you showed the gross parts I thought you should have warned us a bit more. Only after I thought about it, I really understood why you showed it. I think you showed us because you needed us to be a bit scared of it. Not because you knew it would scare us but so we understood what could happen to us if we were to ever try and use drugs. I felt really bad for the people who are on Main Street. Your presentation showed me how much these people need help and how dangerous it is to do those things.
Dear Sgt. Hinton,
When you and Constable came to Hillcrest Middle School on the 1st of June to talk about drugs I thought your presentation was really, really good. First of all the way you two started was different then other presentation. The facts and information you expressed was very powerful and strong. I liked the way you setup the presentation by stating the facts then supporting and proofing that the information is correct with pictures and clips you took while working. I thought that was quite cool that you and your team bought a camera to film what you saw while working and when you told us you made a 30 minute video that won awards was even cooler. Thank you for coming to our school and thanks for the graphic photos.
Dear Sgt. Hinton and Cst. Steinkampf,
When you came to Hillcrest to present stuff on drugs, I thought there wouldn’t be slides on real life things. All I thought you would have done was just talk for an hour and a half about only one drug. I have learned a lot about drugs, like what is in them and how it can affect your body. Thanks for coming.
Dear Sgt. Hinton and Cst. Steinkampf,
I really liked your presentation because it taught me more about drug abuse and it was to the point. The pictures were graphic, but helped show your point that drugs can ruin your life. The movies were awesome, I really liked them. I wouldn’t change anything in your performance. Come again soon!!!
Dear Mark and Toby,
Thanks a lot for coming to our school. I really enjoyed the presentation. It was wonderful and very educational. Once again thank you. The message I was left with was that never do drugs because it is unhealthy and dangerous. One question is that which drug is the most common drug in the downtown east side. I really enjoyed the presentation.
Dear Mr. Hinton and Mr. Steinkampf
Thank you for coming to Hillcrest Middle School and informing us about substance abuse. On Friday, I learned lots of things about substance abuse. Some pictures were scary and disgusting which I told myself I should never smoke or eat any drugs. I knew how addicting it is and how dangerous is it. When I went home after the presentation, I told my family what I have learned and how much the drugs affect you. My mm said I’ve leaned a lot and she also said she didn’t know what those drugs were. But now she knows what they are. I told my dad about it. He said he’ll try to quit smoking too. Now, he does not smoke. I’m so happy. Thank you Mr. Hinton and Mr. Steinkampf for your support!
Dear Cst. Steinkampt,
I can't put my thank you into words. I really appreciate the presentations you do. It is truly engraved in my brain to avoid drugs. I now know what drugs look like and I can easily avoid them. I have only 1 suggestion and that would be to add more sad pictures, they truly do their job. You have answered all my questions. Will you come to do another presentation? Once again thank you! |
