Oklahoma's Promise - OHLAP
(Oklahoma Higher Learning Access
Program)
The "Oklahoma's Promise"
program offers free college
tuition to any student whose family
household income is less than $50,000.
Students must sign up between eighth and tenth grade
to assure they prepare for college during their junior and
senior years by meeting the OHLAP requirements (See below).
Student Requirements
1. The student's family income must be
less than $50,000 at the time of enrollment.
2. Pass 17 units of required high school courses to get ready for college
(see the next section for details).
3.
Make a 2.5 GPA or better in
those courses and a 2.5 GPA for your overall high school career.
4. Don't
skip school.
5. Do
your homework.
6. Don't
abuse drugs or alcohol.
7. Don't
commit criminal or delinquent acts.
8. Meet
with a teacher, counselor or principal to go over your schoolwork and records.
9. Provide
information when requested.
10. Apply
for other financial aid during your senior year of high school.
11. Take
part in OHLAP activities that will prepare you for college.

typing classes do NOT qualify.)
