There are many resources for business information online and on the Internet. You can find business news, stock information, finance information, company financial information, business management information, and business search engines.

Magazine and Journal Databases
EBSCOHost
This is the vendor that is on a state contract. All libraries in the state have access to EBSCOHost.

Academic Search Premier
"Designed specifically for academic institutions, Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for more than 4,500 journals, including 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,250 journals in the collection. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over 100 journals."
Business Source Elite
"This business database provides full text for nearly 1,100 business publications, including full text for nearly 500 peer-reviewed business publications. The rich collection of titles in Business Source Elite provides information dating back to 1985. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost."
Business Source Premier

Regional Business News
"This database provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis."
Health Source: Consumer Edition
"This database is the richest collection of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide. This resource provides access to nearly 300 full text, consumer health periodicals, including American Fitness, Better Nutrition, Fit Pregnancy, Harvard Health Letter, HealthFacts, Men's Health, Muscle & Fitness, Prevention, Vegetarian Times, Women's Health Weekly, and many others. In addition to full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for nearly 300 periodicals. Also included in this database is searchable full text for nearly 1,200 health-related pamphlets; 20 health reference books, including books published by the People's Medical Society; 7,000 Clinical Reference Systems reports (in English and Spanish); and Stedman's Medical Dictionary, which provides users with access to terminology of genetics, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, emergency medicine, bacteriology, and laboratory medicine. Newspaper Source
"Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 28 U.S. and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 260 U.S. newspapers. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost."
PsychINFO
"PsycINFO , from the American Psychological Association (APA), contains nearly 2.3 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines, dating as far back as the 1800s. 97 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed. Journal coverage, which spans 1887 to present, includes international material selected from more than 2,100 periodicals in more than 25 languages."
PsycARTICLES
"PsycARTICLES, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 100,000 articles from 59 journals - 48 published by the American Psychological Association (APA) and 11 from allied organizations. It includes all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each journal. Coverage spans 1894 to present."
ERIC
"ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, contains more than 1,194,000 records and links to more than 100,000 full-text documents from ERIC."
Military and Government Collection
"Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles."
Communication & Mass Media Complete
"Communication & Mass Media Complete provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. CMMC incorporates the content of CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association) and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Penn State) along with numerous other journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study to create a research and reference resource of unprecedented scope and depth encompassing the breadth of the communication discipline. CMMC offers cover-to-cover (“core”) indexing and abstracts for over 390 journals, and selected (“priority”) coverage of 200 more, for a combined coverage of nearly 600 titles. MasterFILE Premier
"Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. NewsBank consists of two parts:
Access World News
"Access World News from NewsBank provides full-text information and perspectives from over 600 U.S. and over 700 international sources, each with its own distinctive focus offering diverse viewpoints on local, regional and world issues. Never before could researchers pinpoint information so easily for one source or country, or any combination specified by the user. Newspaper archives provide a rich source of information for researchers. This archive provides comprehensive coverage of current events (history in the making) and historical events. America's News Magazines
"America's News Magazines from NewsBank provides full-text articles from various familiar magazines in one easy-to-search database. These leading magazines provide coverage and analysis of current events in a range of categories including: news, business, entertainment, lifestyle, science and technology, and sports. Paid advertisements are excluded."

FIRSTSEARCH
FirstSearch is a series of databases provided by a vender named OCLC. Like EBSCOHost, FirstSearch is provided to the libraries of Oklahoma through a state contract and is accessed via the Internet.

The SE Library has two accounts on FirstSearch. Each account provides access to different databases. One account contains 13 databases and is paid for by the State of Oklahoma.

Article First

This database contains citations to articles that appear in journals in science, technology, social science, business and humanities, and popular culture. With almost 12,500 journals indexed, this is the largest journal database in the SE Library's collection. It covers from 1990 to the present,
and is updated daily.

ERIC

This has the entire ERIC database from 1966 to the present, and it is updated monthly. ERIC has journal articles from many education journals, and it also has ERIC documents, which consist of classroom guides, unpublished research, dissertations, lesson plans, and other items. ERIC covers all aspects of education, including:  adult, career and vocational education, elementary and early childhood education, secondary education, higher education, assessment and evaluation, disabilities and gifted education, educational management,  information and technology, language and linguistics, reading and communication, teacher and teacher education, and urban education. It has 983,000 records in the database. 

PapersFirst

Contains citations to papers presented at worldwide meetings, conferences, expositions, workshops, congresses, and symposia. To be included the information must have been received by the British Document Supply Center. It covers from October 1993 to the is updated monthly. It has 2.3 million records and is updated 24 times a year.

Proceedings

Contains over 74,000 citations of every congress, symposium, conference, and workshop from all over the world that was received at the British Library from October 1993 to the present. This database is updated twice a week.

H.W. Wilson Select Full Text

Covers 800 periodicals from 1994 to the present. Contains records from: Readers' Guide Abstracts, Social Sciences Abstracts, Humanities Abstracts, General Science Abstracts, and Business Abstracts. It is updated weekly.

WorldCat

A database of over 95 million records of materials representing 400 languages, such as: books, magazines,  films, slides, journals, manuscripts, maps, musical scores,  newspapers,  videocassettes,  audio-cassettes, computer data files, and computer programs,  that have been cataloged by OCLC members worldwide.  The records cover items from 1000 BC to the present, and this database is updated daily.

FIRSTSEARCH, Full Version

The SE Library has a second account on FirstSearch which has 40 plus different databases than those on the other FirstSearch account. Use of this account is available, but is not free. Authorization number and passwords are necessary to use this version of FirstSearch. Here are some of the databases that relate to business on this version of FirstSearch:

Covers regional businesses activities from over 530 sources. Covers from 1985 to the present

BusIndustry (Business & Industry)
Covers facts and figures,  industry facts, and key events of international public and private companies, industries, and products.

BusinessOrgs (Business Organizations, Agencies and Publications Directory)
"Includes abstracts in most records describing the organization's products and services and giving other information about the organization."

BusMangement (Business  & Management Practices)
"Contains online articles about practical aspects of business management."

ConsumerIndex (Consumers Index)
"Provides information about evaluations, tests, alerts, warnings, and recalls of specific products, services, and facilities." This database is no longer being updated. The last update was in July of 2006.

Disclosure  (Disclosure Corporate Snapshots)
"Contains information about all public company filings including annual reports, company summary information, and shareholder reports.

EconLit (Economic Literature Index)
"Provides citations for dissertations and articles in more than 620 collective volumes per year."

ELECTRONIC BOOKS
NetLibrary
"As the world’s premier provider of electronic books (eBooks), netLibrary helps academic, public, corporate, and private libraries create a richer, more productive learning environment for their patrons. By combining the time-honored traditions of the library system with electronic publishing, netLibrary offers an easy-to-use information and retrieval system for accessing the full text of reference, scholarly, and professional books."  NetLibrary has about 3,000 books that has been purchased by the SE Library.  There is also a collection of  about 4,000 public e-books that are free to access. Once users register with NetLibrary, they can access the e-book collection from off-campus.

This site is maintained by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy, and is a searchable database of statistics from more than 70 U.S. Federal government agencies.

CCH Tax Research Network contains U.S. Federal Tax Law and court cases and State Tax Law and court cases.
