The Gale Group offers a series of publications which provide literary
criticism for works from the classical times to the present. Each
series has a similar format. The entries are organized alphabetically
by literary author. Each entry includes a brief biographical sketch
of the author, excerpts from criticism, and an annotated bibliography of
further resources. To find the full text of the excerpted criticism,
use the citation at the end of the excerpt. Each volume includes
a cumulative index to all preceding volumes.

Contemporary Authors This is a set that is a "bio-biliographical guide to current writers in fiction, general non-fiction, poetry, journalism, drama, motion pictures, television and other fields." The series already spans over 200 volumes and a companion series, called Contemporary Authors New Revision Series, contains updates on authors mentioned in older volumes of the Contemporary Authors Series.
