Loan Policies for Students

CIRCULATING ITEMS *

General Collection: 21 days (fall and spring); 14 days (summer).
This includes all books from floors 2, 2A and 3 (Standard Shelving Location in the Catalog), Juvenile and Native American Books with the exception of reference.

*Curriculum Collection: 7 days (fall and spring); 7 days (summer).
Shelved on the northwest side of the Basement.

* Curriculum Materials may be checked-out for one week in order to make the material available to as many students as possible.

Reserve Books: 2 Hours

Exceptions:

  • Books checked out after 9:00 p.m. are due back by 9:00 a.m. the next day.
  • Books checked out after 5:00 p.m. on Friday are due back by 9:00 a.m. the following Monday.
  • Instructors may set specific loan periods.

Government Documents – U.S. Depository and Oklahoma Documents: 21 days (fall and spring); 14 days (summer)
Shelved on the southeast side of 2A

Computer Software 
Loan periods are listed on each item.

Videos/DVDs: 7 days.
Shelved on the southwest end of the 1st floor near the computer lab and juvenile materials.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS

Archives
All items in Archives are non-circulating (floor: 2A, room: 202).

Maps
Filed in the map case on 2A (next to the OK Docs vertical file cabinet).

Microforms
All microforms (microfiche and microfilm) are non-circulating.

Periodicals
All magazines and journals shelved on the 1st floor Current Periodicals Section and in the Basement,
as well as the Periodical Indices.

Reference
Shelved in the circulating collection of the library.

SE Masters’ Theses
Shelved in Archives.

Sound Recordings
Shelved in the music library, 3rd floor.

Storage
All items shelved in the Storage location of the Basement.
