President Glen D. Johnson Golf Classic Set For June 9

Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s 9th annual President Glen D. Johnson Golf Classic will be played June 9 at beautiful Chickasaw Pointe Golf Course.

The Classic is a major fundraising event for the Southeastern Foundation and has become a prestigious event that attracts avid golfers from across the state. Jim and Donna Tyler are serving as co-chairs his year, while Larry Dyson is the honorary marshal.

Entry fee is $125 per player and includes a registration gift, breakfast, lunch and dinner, green fee, golf cart, and drinks. Entry deadline is June 1.

The Classic is an 18-hole, six-man scramble format with prizes awarded to first, second and third–place teams. There will also be prizes for closest-to-the-pin and longest drive for both men and women. Golfers will have a shot at a new car and new boat in the Hole-in-One contests and winning-team names will be added to the President’s Cup trophy.

The Classic features an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start with shuttles delivering golfers from the parking lot to the golf course.

Registration and the practice range will be available at 7:30 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. There are five levels of sponsorships available for the Classic. The Platinum Level ($3,500) includes two teams of six players and Platinum amenities.

Gold Sponsorship ($2,500) includes one team and Gold amenities. Silver Sponsorship ($2,000) includes one team and Silver amenities. Bronze Sponsorship ($1,500) includes one team. Hole Sponsorship is available for $100.
