Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil set for Oct. 6

DURANT, Okla. -- The "Take Back the Night" march and the 18th annual Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil will be held on Monday, Oct. 6 at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The march will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Southeastern Student Union Plaza, while the candlelight vigil begins at 7 p.m. in the Student Union Atrium.
The program will feature a performance by Choctaw Project Safe Striving for an Abuse Free Environment.

Southeastern is one of six universities in Oklahoma that offers a violence prevention program, which is funded by a grant from the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice.
