DURANT, Okla. -- An information session for new non-traditional students will be held at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Welcome Center (425 W. University Blvd. ) on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon (come-and-go).

One of every four students at Southeastern is a non-traditional (age 25 and older) student. This information session will provide tips for prospective students. Representatives from admissions, financial aid, the advising center, and the graduate program will be available to answer questions.

Southeastern offers a flexible schedule to non-traditional students. Classes are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Many of these courses are delivered on-line. The University offers classes at 7 locations: the main campus in Durant, the branch campus in McCurtain County, the Ardmore Higher Education Center, the Eastern Oklahoma campus in McAlester, Oklahoma City Community College, Tinker AFB in Midwest City, and at Grayson College in Denison, Texas.

Southeastern offers a variety of majors (more than 40), including Elementary Education and the Bachelor of General Studies, which is appealing to many non-traditional students.

Currently, 75 percent of Southeastern students receive financial aid.
