Southeastern Presidential Golf Classic Set for June 13

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University's 11th annual Presidential Golf Classic will be held Friday, June 13, at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort.

The 18-hole, 6-person scramble features an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and is sponsored by the Southeastern Foundation as the major scholarship fundraiser of the year.

Tournament co-chairs this year are Larry and Judy Dyson. Larry is owner of Dyson Motors and a strong supporter of Southeastern and Bryan County Athletics.

Entry fee is $125 per player and includes green fee, cart, food and drinks, registration gift including a SE logo jacket, and chances for Hole-in-One prizes.

Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams. There will be prizes for Closest-to-the Pin and Longest drive for both men and women. Winning teams will have names added to the President’s Cup Trophy.

There will be a continental breakfast and lunch, with dinner served during the Awards Ceremony (approximately 2-3 p.m.).

Registration begins and the practice range will be open at 7:30 a.m. with the continental breakfast at 8 a.m.

The 2007 Golf Classic was the biggest and best to date, grossing more than $64,500, which moved five different scholarships closer to the endowment level.

There are seven sponsorship levels available, starting with the Platinum Sponsorship at $3,500. This includes two teams of six players.

Other sponsorship levels: Gold, $2,500, one team of six players; Silver, $2,000, one team of six players; Bronze, $1,500, one team of six players; Team Sponsorship, $1,000, one team of six players; Tournament Sponsor, $500, one regular registration; and Hole Sponsorship, $100.

Mulligans are available at $10 each, with a limit of two per player.
