Southeastern's Sneak Preview Set for Nov. 8

DURANT, Okla. -- The 7thannual Sneak Preview Open House has been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The 2008 Sneak Preview is Southeastern's largest open house and is a great opportunity for high school juniors, seniors, and their parents to explore what the University has to offer.
Prospective students may register online at www.SE.edu/sneakpreview.
Students attending the open house will be able to visit with professors in their major field of study, visit with current SE students about their experiences with classes and campus life, and check out $50 million worth of new construction and renovations, including the new Student Union, Shearer Hall and Suites, and the new arena.
Entertainment will be provided by the Chorvettes Stage Works Company, cheerleaders and the Southeastern band.
Parents and students are encouraged to attend sessions that will cover information about financial aid, scholarships, and campus and residence life.
A free lunch allows participants to build their own Frito Chili Pies. Lunch also includes drink and dessert.
The Sneak Preview opens with registration at 9 a.m. in the Student Union and a general session will be held from 9:30-10:15 a.m. in Montgomery Auditorium. The general session includes an overview of the day by Southeastern recruitment coordinator Elizabeth Stidham and information on admissions/scholarships by University recruiters Tyrone Stafford and Liz Aguilar.
An Academic Information Fair will be held in the new Student Union. Campus tours will include the residence halls.
Breakout sessions are scheduled from 11:15 a.m.- noon for parents only in room 300 of the Russell Building and for students only in room 213 of the Student Union.
A come and go Lunch on the Lawn with entertainment will feature KSSU Radio from 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Kickoff for the final football game of the season between Southeastern and East Central is set for 2 p.m. Prospective students and their parents will be admitted free of charge with their Sneak Preview registration.
