DURANT, Okla. -- Stephanie Howeth has been named Student Activities Coordinator at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Howeth is a 2005 graduate of Southeastern with a bachelor's of arts degree in communication, specializing in advertising and public relations. She earned her master's of Education in College Student Affairs Administration at the University of Georgia.

Howeth graduated from Sherman (Texas) High School and was very involved as a student at Southeastern. She served as a Resident Assistant (RA), Savage Storm Leader (SSL), and played flute in both the concert and marching bands. She was a Student Activities Specialist at Southeastern before leaving for graduate school.

Howeth said, "I felt Southeastern was home and that this is where I wanted to be. I had a great experience here as a student and I want to help make that possible for other students. The people here are great and have always felt like family to me. I can't imagine a better group of people to work with. Camille Phelps (Assistant Dean of Students) is a big reason I came back. I'm thrilled to be here."

Her hobbies are reading, photography and spending time with friends. She has a great love for music and Southeastern summer band seems to be in her future.
