The SOSU Musical Arts Series presents three concert events featuring performers from New York City and Milano. On February 26 America’s Dream Chamber Artists will perform. The Atlantic Brass Quintet will be heard on March 3. The Italian duo for piano and cello, Maurizio Barboro and Dario Destefano will perform on March 6. This is a change from the date formerly listed of March 7. All concerts are in the Fine Arts Recital Hall and begin at 7:30. There is no admission charge.

The Red River Arts Council is a co-presenter of the America’s Dream and Atlantic Brass.

The America’s Dream Chamber Ensemble and the Atlantic Brass Quintet are funded in part by grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the Mid America Arts Alliance, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Both groups will perform special programs for the Durant Public Schools. Maurizio Barboro and Dario Destefano are presented as a part of the Steger International Artist Series, funded by an endowment from Virge and Ruth Steger of Durant.

America’s Dream Chamber Artists (ADCA) is America’s newest and most exciting chamber music society. Something of this scope and vision has not been created in the classical music world for well over 30 years. ADCA intends to change the face of chamber music by enlivening its future by presenting chamber music in a renewed and energized manner, making it approachable and enjoyable to all kinds of audiences. ADCA’s dynamic and inspiring performances represent a fresh approach to chamber music that challenges tradition, taking one right to the core of what chamber music was always meant to be by removing the formality of the concert hall and replacing it with a more personal relationship with the audience.
