Southeastern announces annual fund campaign for scholarships

DURANT, Okla. ­ The Office of University Advancement is proud to announce that the first-ever Annual Fund Campaign at Southeastern Oklahoma State University is underway.

In seeking support for this campaign, the Advancement Office has mailed out letters to more than 30,000 alumni and friends.

"We would like for individuals to consider giving to Southeastern in order to help fund need-based scholarships for deserving students," said Kyle Stafford, executive director of University Advancement. "With the current economic climate, many Southeastern students are having difficulty obtaining education loans and finding the money to pursue their dream of a college degree. Every gift does matter. Most important is the number of individuals participating in giving to the University, as this is a significant factor in determining college rankings and influencing large corporate and foundation grant support."
