Camp Southeastern (Orientation) Kicks Off Summer of 2009

Press Release Date: 05-19-2009

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Office of Student Life has announced the dates for Camp SE – new student orientation. Students will have the opportunity to attend one of these sessions on June 28-29, July 19-20, or Aug. 16.

The theme for the camps is "The Real World Southeastern."

Camp SE assists new students with their transition to campus by providing programs and services that outline the University's academic requirements as well as co-curricular developmental opportunities. Students attending Camp SE will meet new peers, identify student services provided, learn about traditions, and experience what it is like to be a real college student. Parent Orientation will run concurrently with the second day of camp.

All new students attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be required to complete either Camp SE or SE Online Orientation. For students not able to attend Camp SE, SE Online Orientation will be available for the first time this summer.
