Southeastern Chorale dinner/auction set for Oct. 3

DURANT, Okla. – The Southeastern Chorale will host a dinner and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Massey Building in downtown Durant.

Auction items include luxury-resort stays, as well as donated gift items from local businesses, restaurant packages, personal services, and home décor items. The silent auction will begin Thursday, Oct. 1, in room 116 of the Fine Arts Building and culminate in Saturday’s dinner.

The event, “Sounds of Motown,” will feature the outstanding Southeastern Chorale members entertaining with classic music from the 1960s and ’70s, according to Dr. Stacy Weger, Director of Choral Activities. The fundraiser will open at 6:15 p.m. Saturday with hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. A dessert auction, led by Dell McLain, will be held immediately following the meal.

Tickets are $25 and are being sold by Chorale members. Seating is limited and early purchase is encouraged. Tickets may be obtained by calling 580-745-2222.
