Claxton, Hensley assume new roles at Southeastern

Michele Claxton named Executive Assistant to the President

DURANT, Okla. – Michele Claxton has been named Executive Assistant to the President at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. In addition, Scott Hensley will now oversee both the Career Management Center and Continuing Education at the University.

"Both Michele and Scott are valuable members of the Southeastern team," said interim president Larry Minks. "We look forward to utilizing their talents in these new capacities and are confident they will contribute a great deal to the overall success of the University."

In 2008, Claxton was named Director of Continuing Education at Southeastern. Prior to that, she served in various capacities in the TRiO program at SE for 19 years. She was a TRiO program director for 10 of those years.

The Healdton native earned bachelor and master degrees at Southeastern.

Scott Hensley

Scott Hensley to oversee both the Career Management Center and Continuing Education

Hensley began his SE career in 1998 as a student support services counselor. In 2002, he was named director of career and placement services (now known as the Career Management Center). Hensley earned a bachelor degree in counseling psychology at Christian Heritage College and a master in the same field at National University (San Diego). He is a graduate of Tom Bean (Texas) High School.
