Southeastern's Presidential Golf Classic set for June 12

DURANT, Okla. -- Southeastern Oklahoma State University's 12th annual Presidential Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 12.

Entries are already coming in for the prestigious event, which attracts golfers from all across Oklahoma and beyond our borders.

Jerry (an alumni board member) and Pat Currence of Durant are serving as co-chairs of this year's event.

The Presidential Golf Classic is the major fundraiser for the Southeastern Foundation, Inc., with proceeds going toward Foundation scholarships and other University needs.

The Classic is played at beautiful Chicksaw Pointe Golf Club on Lake Texoma. It is an 18-hole, 6-person scramble format and is limited to the first 26 teams.

Registration fee is $125 per player. The registration fee includes cart, greens fee, food and drinks, plus a registration gift. Prizes are awarded for 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place teams.

There are chances for Hole-in-One prizes, plus Longest Drive and Closest-to-the-Pin contests for men and women. Winning teams will have members' names added to the President's Cup Trophy.

The Classic features continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the Awards Ceremony (approximately 3 p.m.).

There are seven levels of sponsorship available. Platinum ($3,500) includes two teams of six players with amenities.

Gold ($2,500), Silver ($2,000)and Bronze ($1,500) levels include one team of six with varying amenities.

Team sponsorships are available for $1,000 and include one team of six. Tournament Sponsor ($500) includes one regular registration. Hole Sponsor ($100) includes signage at a hole.

Chickasaw Pointe is located four miles east of Kingston on Highway 70. Check out the course at www.pointe-vista.com.

Registration is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. June 12, and the practice range will also be open at that time. The continental breakfast begins at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start is slated for 8:30 a.m.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at approximately 3 p.m.
