Guy Doud to address educator's group

DURANT, Okla. -- The Texoma Association for Public School Improvement (TAPSI) will present motivational speaker Guy R. Doud Friday, March 6.

Doud was the 1986 Teacher of the Year and is the author of five award-winning books, including the best-seller, “Molder of Dreams,” along with the videos “Teacher of the Year” and “Classroom of the Heart.”

The program is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Durant High School auditorium and also features a special appearance by Heather Sparks, Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.

Tickets are priced at $20 per person for TAPSI Member Districts and $50 per person for non-TAPSI Member Districts. Seating is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are required for admission to the program. Tickets must be purchased by February 23.

Doud was selected as Teacher of the Year in 1986 and honored at a White House ceremony. He has since spoken to thousands of groups, delivering a message of life, love, family, relationships, success, and dreaming dreams.

His message has universal appeal to audiences because he speaks about things of the heart.
