Southeastern Commencement to be held indoors on Saturday

DURANT, Okla. – Because of a high probability of thunderstorms Saturday morning, Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Spring Commencement will be held indoors Saturday with two ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The ceremonies will be conducted in the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium (not the arena).
A reception for all graduates and their families is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Visual and Performing Arts Center.
Saturday’s two ceremonies will be held as follows:
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Master of Education
Master of Science (Aerospace)
11:00 – a.m. – 1 p.m.
Reception in Visual & Performing Arts Center
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Master of Science (Safety)
Guest speaker will be Dr. Jonathan Trent, who is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Sarcoma Medical Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is a 1988 graduate of Southeastern.
The parking lot east of Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium will be reserved for handicapped parking only.

Originally, Commencement was scheduled to take place in one ceremony at 10 a.m. at Paul Laird Field.
