Southeastern to host Jazz Clinic and Concert

On Saturday, May 2, Southeastern Oklahoma University will host a Jazz Clinic and Concert in Montgomery Auditorium. The concert will feature the University of North Texas Jazz Repertory Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Joe Janes.

The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a short performance by the Durant High School Jazz Band. The Durant High School Jazz Band will then have a clinic by Mr. Janes and members of the UNT Jazz Repertory Ensemble. The morning will end with a concert by the UNT Jazz Repertory Ensemble from 10:30-11:30. All events are open and free to the public.

This concert is sponsored by the Red River Arts Council and sponsored in part by a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
