Chorvettes StageWorks Company Performs in Branson
Press Release Date: 05-25-2010
DURANT — The Chorvettes StageWorks Company recently performed at two major venues in Branson, Missouri, as part of Branson On Stage Live, a showcase event for collegiate performing groups.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Chorvettes performed two shows at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater and Branson Variety Theater on May 21-22, where they opened for the Legends in Concert show and the Twelve Irish Tenors concert, respectively. Directors Aaron Adair and Jennifer Wills accompanied the entertainers, whose performances included music from the hit Broadway shows Dreamgirls, Jersey Boys, and Footloose.
"The opportunity to perform in Branson was exciting for them," said Adair. "The Chorvettes have a rich history of entertaining people all over the world, and the experience of having them perform in Branson, the show choir capital of the world, was both rewarding and well-deserved. I fully expect to see some of them performing in venues all over Branson in the future."
According to Adair, a clinic conducted by a professional singer/dancer in the Legends in Concert Show gave valuable feedback and performing tips to the Chorvettes, many of whom hope to work in Branson as professional entertainers after graduation. In addition to its performance schedule, the Chorvettes also enjoyed the Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show and Silver Dollar City theme park, as well as shopping and dining at Branson Landing outdoor mall.
