Four new department chairs named at Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. – Four new department chairs have been appointed recently at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, according to Dr. Douglas McMillan, interim vice president for academic affairs.

The new chairs are Dr. Jane Licata, Management, Marketing & General Business in the John Massey School of Business; Dr. Randy Prus, English, Humanities and Languages, School of Arts & Sciences; Dr. Stacy Weger, Music, School of Arts & Sciences; and Mr. Bruce Johnson, Social Sciences, School of Arts & Sciences.

Dr. Jane Licata Dept Chair

Licata, a John Massey Endowed professor, joined the SE faculty in 2002. She earned a Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University, a bachelor’s degree at the University of Connecticut, and a master’s at Ohio State University.

Dr. Randy Prus Dept Chair

Prus been a member of the SE faculty since 1991. His Ph.D. was earned at State University of New York at Buffalo. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University and a master’s at New York University.

 

Mr. Bruce Johnson Dept Chair

Johnson holds a master’s degree from the University of Missouri and a bachelor’s from Southeastern. He joined the Southeastern faculty in 1976.

Dr. Stacy Weger Dept Chair

Weger is starting his 10th year at Southeastern, having served as Director of Choral Activities since his arrival. He holds a doctorate in musical arts from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Southern Mississippi.
