SE Live Open House scheduled for Nov. 10

DURANT, Okla. – High school seniors and juniors, plus their parents and families, are invited to experience life as a student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University during SE Live Open House.

SE Live is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, on the Southeastern campus in Durant, Oklahoma.

"Students who come to SE Live will actually attend some Southeastern classes, meet current Southeastern students, and really experience what life is like as a Southeastern student," said Elizabeth Stidham, Recruitment Coordinator.

Some of the highlights of the day include programs on: Scholarships & Financial Aid, Southeastern Traditions, Residence Life, and Life as a Student Athlete. Campus tours will be offered throughout the day.

In the afternoon, students will have an opportunity to visit Eaker Field, home of the Southeastern Aviation Program. Choir and Band students will get the chance to rehearse with those programs and audition for Fall music scholarships.

Several Southeastern performing groups, including the Sparks Dance Team, Southeastern Chorale, Debate Team, and the Southeastern Marching Band, will provide entertainment throughout the day.

All students attending will receive an SE Sackpack and one free lunch ticket. Lunch is sponsored by First United Bank.

SE Live is an annual event on campus. Last year more than 500 students attended.
