Pulitzer winner Tracy Letts returns to campus

DURANT, Okla. Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning playwright-actor Tracy Letts returned to Durant Tuesday to speak at the Honors Program Spring Symposium at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Letts, who graduated from Durant High School and attended Southeastern, won both the Pulitzer and Tony awards in 2008 for his play, "August: Osage County." An enthusiastic crowd of students, faculty members, and guests attended the event, which was held in the new theater building. Letts outlined his career path, and took questions from students. Also in attendance was Tracy’s mother, Billie Letts, the award-winning author and former Southeastern faculty member.
