Southeastern Presidential Golf Classic set for June 10 at Chickasaw Pointe

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s 2011 Presidential Golf Classic is only three weeks away.

The event is held at gorgeous Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club on Lake Texoma and is the major fundraiser for the Southeastern Foundation.

The 14th annual Presidential Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 10, and registration is limited to the first 26 six-player teams or 156 players. Those without a team may sign up individually and be placed on a team.

The Presidential Classic is among the more prestigious golf tournaments in the state and annually attracts participants from across Oklahoma and neighboring states.

It’s a fun day with great golf for a great cause. Proceeds support the Southeastern Foundation and student scholarships.

There are seven levels of sponsorship. The top level is Platinum Sponsorship ($3,500) that includes two teams of six players and Platinum amenities.

Other levels are Gold ($2,500), Silver ($2,000), Bronze ($1,500), Team ($1,000), Tournament ($500), and Hole Sponsor ($100).

Registration fee is $125 per player and includes registration gift, greens fee, cart, food and drinks. Golfers also have chances for hole-in-one prizes, Closest–to-the-Pin and Longest Drive contests for both men and women.

Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, and the practice range will be available at that time.

A continental breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and the Classic begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.

A catered dinner will be served during the Awards Ceremony at approximately 2-3 p.m.

The Classic is already receiving entries and golfers should register as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the fun.
