Call for entries announced for Great Plains Juried Art Show

DURANT, Okla. – A call for entries has been announced for the 7th Annual Great Plains Juried Art Show. The show will be held at the Centre Art Gallery located in the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It is open to all regional visual artists and is sponsored by the SE division of Art, Red River Arts Council, the Oklahoma Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Show will be juried by Alan Burris, Art Director at Murray State College, an award-winning sculptor and mixed media artist represented by numerous galleries in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

Registration and delivery of artwork is scheduled on February 18 from noon until 6 p.m .at the Centre Gallery located at 1614 North First Street, Durant. The dates for the show will be February 24 through April 8, 2011. Awards will be announced at the Artists’ Reception on Feb 25 at 6 p.m. at the Centre Gallery.
