Southeastern announces honorees for Homecoming 2011

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University will honor the 2011 Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Former Faculty, along with presenting the Benefactor and Heritage Awards, during Homecoming, October 14-15.
This year’s Distinguished Alumni are Mr. Greg Armstrong (’80), former State Representative John Carey (’92), and Major General James E. Chambers (’75).
Distinguished Former Faculty recipients are Dr. Don Collier and Dr. Don Ferguson.
The Benefactor Award for 2011 will be presented to the O.J. and Mary Christine Harvey Educational Foundation, and the Heritage Award will go posthumously to Kate Galt Zaneis, the ninth president of Southeastern (1935-37).
Honorees will be recognized at a dinner scheduled for Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Visual and Performing Arts Center.
