Library hosts workshop on video editing

DURANT, Okla. – Community of Oklahoma Instruction Librarians (COIL) on WHEELS representatives rolled into Durant Wednesday for an all-day workshop on creating and editing videos, using Jing, Camtasia, or Captivate.
The workshop was held in the Henry G. Bennett Memorial Library at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The workshop is part of the COIL on Wheels program. With 15 participants, the computer classroom in the library was bustling with activity. COIL Chair Emily Brown said, “this is a record for a COIL on Wheels workshop.” Participants included Southeastern faculty, librarians, personnel from Student Life, Violence Prevention, and IT departments, as well as, The Ardmore Higher Learning Center, and The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation.
Presenters were Emily Z. Brown, Reference & Instructional Services Librarian at the University of Central Oklahoma and the 2011 Community of Oklahoma Instruction Librarians (COIL) Chair; Sarah Clark, the Access Services and Distance Learning Librarian at Rogers State University and Immediate Past Chair of COIL; and Clair Powers, Instruction and Electronic Services Librarian at Phillips Theological Seminary and OK-ACRL Board Member.
