Press Release Date: 11-7-2011

DURANT, Okla. – High school juniors and seniors, and their parents and families, are invited to attend two exciting events at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Native American Visitation Day and SE Live Open House will both be hosted on Wednesday, Nov. 9 on the Durant campus.

Native American Visitation Day allows students the opportunity to learn about Native American benefits, attend a class on Native American studies, and play a traditional game of stickball.

SE Live Open House is a great opportunity for high school students to experience what life is like as a Southeastern student. Students will attend workshops on scholarships and financial aid, and Southeastern Traditions and a College Success class. Campus tours will also be available in the afternoon.

Other highlights of the day will include entertainment by several of Southeastern’s performing groups including “The Spirit of Southeastern” Marching Band and the Sparks Dance Team. The choir and band will also hold early auditions for scholarships.

All students attending will receive an SE Sackpack and one free lunch ticket. Lunch is sponsored by First United Bank.
