Southeastern President to receive Star SBDC Award

Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (OSBDC) Director Dr. William D. Carter announced that Southeastern Oklahoma State University President Larry Minks has been selected as the 2011 Oklahoma State Star by America’s Small Business Development Centers Network.
"I am delighted to make this announcement, and to recognize President Minks for extraordinary contributions to the work of the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center and small business in Oklahoma. He represents all of our partners in our network who show a strong commitment to the program," Carter said.
A reception to honor President Minks will be held at the OSBDC offices, 301 W. University, Durant, on Tuesday, November 15, from 4-6 p.m.
President Minks was chosen by the OSBDC for his commitment to small business across the state of Oklahoma, his vision for building a strong network of partners, and his advocacy on behalf of the OSBDC and small business owners. He represents other university and college presidents who comprise the OSBDC Network and make contributions to existing and start-up businesses across the state.
