Press Release Date: 5-23-2011
DURANT, Okla. – Once again, Southeastern Oklahoma State University is looking to reduce energy costs in the summer months by implementing a 10-hour, 4-day work-week, beginning May 31 and continuing through July 29.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the University has implemented this schedule.
Under the summer schedule, University employees will continue to work 40 hours a week (Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Public office hours will remain from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday-Thursday. University offices will be closed on Fridays.
For the past several years, summer school classes have met on a Monday-Thursday schedule, and that will be the case again this year. The traditional 5-day workweek will return on Monday, Aug. 1.
