Faculty-Staff awards presented at Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University held its annual Faculty-Staff Recognition Banquet Monday night in the Visual & Performing Arts Center.

A number of faculty and staff members were honored for outstanding contributions to the University. Also honored were retirees and employees for years of service.

The “Heart of Southeastern’’ Award was presented to Tim Boatmun, Associate Dean for Academic Services in the Academic Advising & Outreach Center, and Chris Wesberry, Director of the Native American Center for Student Success. This award is presented to recognize an individual or individuals who have gone above and beyond the expectations and requirements of their position at Southeastern.

Dr. Brett Elliott, Professor of Mathematics, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Faculty Senate. The Senate also named Dr. Margaret Cotter-Lynch, Professor of English, Humanities & Languages, as Professor of the Year, and Kathy Hendrick, Director of the Center for Regional Competitiveness, with the Adjunct Award.
